What is the difference between ADNLAB and other companies for paternity testing ?

ADNLAB is the official representative of the biggest and leading Laboratory in the US in the field of  forensic and  DNA Relationship Testing. By choosing our company, you can be assured that you will receive not only the best service, quality and precision in the results, but also the best price in the market. Tens of Thousands of clients around the world trust our laboratory each and every year.

Do I need a court order or a prescription to perform a paternity test?

No, our clients can perform a paternity test without a court order or a prescription.

How accurate is your DNA Paternity Test ?

Results with an accuracy higher than 99.999% are guarantee.

How long will it take to receive my test results?

From 5 – 7 working days.

What kind of samples are used?

Usually Saliva Samples, taken with buccal swabs.

Is the buccal swab test as reliable as the blood test ?

Absolutely YES ! For more than 20 years now, with the help of advancing technology, tests using saliva samples obtain the same accuracy as  blood samples.

Is there a minimum age of the child before a test can be performed?

There is no minimum age; even a newborn baby can be tested. Taking a sample with a buccal swab is absolutely pain-free and non-traumatic for the child.

What if I want to analyze more than one child or alleged father ?

There are no limits to how many people can be tested ( additional fees apply).

Are there alternative (more secret) ways to collect the samples?

Yes, we can process “alternative samples” such as; blood stains on clothes, cigarette butts, ear swabs, chewing gum, hair (with roots), fingernail clips, semen or used tissue paper etc. Alternative samples do carry additional fees and vary in the rate of success.

If the alleged father of my child is unavailable for testing, how can I prove or disproof his paternity ?

We can take samples from a relative of the alleged father (brother / sister, mother, father etc.) to determine if there is a biological relationship.

If one of the individuals participating in  the test, resides in another country, how can a test be  performed ?

We can send our Kit anywhere in the world, or arrange a chain of custody sample collection.

Can  a Paternity test be performed while the mother is still pregnant?

Yes, there are two different types of prenatal paternity tests available. 1.) Noninvasive prenatal paternity test (NIPP): This test requieres only a small blood sample  from the pregnant mother and a saliva sample (swap) from the alleged father. 2.) Amniocentesis: During amniocentesis, a gynecologist  draws out a small amount of amniotic fluid. This  procedure uses a needle inserted into the mother’s abdomen. An additional saliva sample (swab) of the mother and the alleged father are also needed.

What is a “Home” Paternity Test?

The only difference to the regular paternity test is the advantage of having the ability to take the  samples (swabs) in the comfort and privacy of your own  home. The tests and the results are exactly the same as a test performed in a lab.. This test method is standard for more than 20 years . In the United States and Europe,95 out of 100 paternity tests are performed in this way.

I want to obtain a kit to take the samples at home, but I do not want / can’t go to your office. How can I receive the  KIT and later  the results ?

We can send your KIT via courier in a neutral envelope. If you live outside of Santo Domingo, you will receive your KIT via “METROPAC ™”, “CARIBEPACK ™” or with your preferred transport company (at no additional cost). Later you can receive the results via WhatsApp, Email and / or by entering our website and download them with your personal code and password. We will never inform you of the result by phone!

What to do after taking the samples?

If you live in Santo Domingo, call us and a personal courier will pick them up. If you live outside of Santo Domingo, please send them to us via “METROPAC ™”, “CARIBEPACK ™” or your preferred transport company.

What is the difference between a test done at home and the test for legal purposes?

The only difference between home testing and legal testing is that in home testing, a chain of custody is not followed during sample collection. The test itself, which is performed in the laboratory, does follow the same strict and rigorous procedures as a test for legal matters.

Are the results confidential?

Absolutely. Your results will be kept in the strictest confidence and delivered only to you.
