Dr. Baird has decades of experience and is one of the pioneers in the field of DNA testing. In 1987 he was the first expert witness in a US court and since that year he has testified in hundreds of cases. In 2007 he was named an expert in the considered paternity case of the century in which the daughter of actress Anna Nicole Smith’s was involved. He also served as an expert in the famous case of the athlete OJ Simpson. Dr. Baird is a member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and other professional associations. He has written and published numerous papers in the fields of DNA technology.
